Premier League 2025/2026 Betting Advice

At Sporty Edge we have cast out net wide, in South Africa and in the United Kingdom, to give you as many options as possible to make a bet that brings reward.

In South Africa we reference Betway and Hollywood Bets as the trusted betting platforms and in the UK we have leaned on BettingOdds and William Hill NewsOddschecker.

Our Sporty Edge team of specialist and content creators have done the dive into the data available from previous seasons and we have also considered the views of leading soccer publications in the Unitied Kingdom.

We have identified popular bets and ones that have potential. Who makes Europe’s top league, do any of the three newbies promoted from the Championsip, Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley.

Who gets the Golden Boot? The most assists and who leaks the most goals.

The FA Community Shield, played between FA Cup winners Crystal Palace and EPL Champions Liverpool on Sunday, 10th August, showed just how little separates the leading title contenders and the chasing pack.

Palace twice trailed in normal time before forcing a penalty shoot-out with the final score 2-all. They won the penalty shoot-out 3-2.

It was jolt to defending champions Liverpool, but it has not lessoned their odds on retaining the title.

If you are focused on the title race, we have prepared a Snapshot Odds and How to Play it.

To Win The Title: Premier League Betting Prediction

All the major books have the title as a three-horse race:

  • Liverpool: shortest price to retain. Typical range ~15/8 – 7/4.
  • Arsenal: ~9/4 – 5/2.
  • Man City: ~10/3 – 7/2.

Chelsea sit in the next tier; United/Newcastle/Villa are outsiders.

These are all current odds, as of mid-August 2025.

Our Editor’s titbit, right now, is to structure a Dutch across Liverpool/Arsenal/City to flatten the variance, and if you want price plus pathway then go Chelsea each-way (top two or top four). This can be the smarter EV.

The most current ranges show Chelsea 9/1 for the tile and around 4/6 to EVS for a Top four, depending on the book.

Relagation & European Places

Who wins, who makes Europe and who goes down are the most hyped team bets, especially who goes down.

Of the three promoted teams, the markets right now lean towards Burnley as odds-on to go down. They are the shortest of the three, with Sunderland also a favourite to last just one season. Leeds have the best survival shot and the markets before a ball has been kicked for the new season are favouring them to stay the pace, having so quickly managed to get back up from the Championship after their drop from the EPL.

The books have aligned with the majority of previews that speak of Leeds’ physicality upgrade under Farke, with Sunderland’s biggest challenge on whether they can handle the tempo of the EPL.

Betting On The Big 6

We’ve looked at what we consider the Big Six, how to bet on them and how to get results: No fluff, just insights based on data.

  • Liverpool – defending champs; elite press + wide chance creation = corners & assists markets live every matchweek. Title price is shortest; consider Top‑2 or season match handicaps for a saner hold.
  • Arsenal – high shot volume, set‑piece threat; historically a banker for Over 1.5 Team Goals vs bottom‑half and Top‑4 accas. Title sits just behind Liverpool.
  • Man City – shorter price than their detractors think and still a machine. If they don’t touch the title, Haaland for the Golden Boot or City for the Most Wins alternative markets keep you in the slipstream.
  • Chelsea – Don’t by into the hype of them winning the World Club Championship. They are closer to top four than title winners. They are best used in Top‑4/Top‑6 futures or Draw‑No‑Bet spots away to mid‑table.
  • Man United – They are volatile. Instead of outright glory, look at player props (shots, SOT) and Both Teams To Score in away fixtures until the defensive metrics prove stable. (The Market has them well behind top three/four.)
  • Tottenham – goals either way. Over 2.5, BTTS, and First‑Half over 1.0/1.25 have historically been friendlier than trusting the outright. (Longer title price; target match markets.)

Golden Boot (Top Goalscorer) Betting Tip

Current pricing has Erling Haaland as the rightful favourite, with Salah, Isak, and a couple of new‑system wildcards on the chase line. Shop around; banding is roughly Haaland ~11/10–6/4 with Salah/Isak next.

How we play it at Sporty Edge

  • Primary: Haaland to win; tiny hedge on a second favourite you trust for 34+ starts and pens.
  • Each‑way bomb: a settled No.9 outside the UCL load (price often 20/1–40/1) can out‑grind on minutes.

Playmaker Award (Most Assists)

Live market shortlist has  Bukayo Saka, Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz, Cole Palmer, Bruno Fernandes. Prices are tight at the top (Saka/Salah often ~11/4–3/1; Palmer/Wirtz in the 9/2–7/1 lane).

How we play it at Sporty Edge

  • Primary: Saka or Salah—bankable minutes + set pieces + volume.
  • Value: Palmer if Chelsea’s attack sustains possession in the final third as expected.

Most Popular EPL Bets (and how to use them)

  • 1X2 (Match Result): Still king. For favourites, consider Asian Handicap to reduce juice.
  • Over/Under Goals (2.5 most common): Track venue splits; Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea home games trend over‑friendly in the right matchups.
  • Both Teams To Score (BTTS): Great for Spurs/Forest/Brentford profiles; add Result+BTTS for price.
  • Asian Handicap / Draw‑No‑Bet: Cleaner exposure when you like a side but expect volatility.
  • Player Props: Shots / Shots on Target / Assists for stars; safer than first‑goalscorer lottery.
  • Season Futures: Title, Top‑4/6, Relegation, Golden Boot, Most Assists—build a diversified slip you can manage monthly.

Promoted Three: Quick Betting Read

  • Leeds United – Best survival chance per prices; physical uptick noted in preseason previews. Look for Home DNB vs bottom‑eight.
  • Sunderland – Market is cold. If they start compact, Unders vs top sides can cash early before the books adjust.
  • Burnley – Favourite for the drop. Target Opposition corners and Win to Nil against them in big‑six away fixtures.
